Wow!!! can you actually believe that its almost Christmas already!!!!!
The 1st week of summer brought some very strange weather with gloomy grey skies in the mornings and glorious sunny afternoons and stormy evenings. There’s been plenty of rain to soak lawns and garden beds and everything is growing like crazy. Out in the garden the gorgeous Hydrangeas are heavy with heads of full and fleshy flowers, the perennials such as Salvia, Argyranthemums, Echinacea, Gaura and Verbena are filling their spots nicely and the vegie garden, well everything should be in abundance and just in time for Christmas feasts. As the days start to heat up, it’s important that we check plants for mildew and pests such as mealy bug which thrive in hot, humid conditions. Summer is also a great times to fertilise garden beds and the vegie patch to ensure plants continue to thrive through to the Autumn months.
We’ve had another amazing year at the Sanctuary Point Garden Centre and we couldn’t have done any of it without you, our customers. We’d like to take the opportunity to say “THANK YOU” to each and everyone of you for your continued support and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year in 2022
We’re closing for 4 whole days over Christmas for a well earned break, but we’ll be back in board on Wednesday 29th December from 10am to 4pm. A full rundown of our operating hours over the Christmas holidays can be found by clicking on the link below.
